Largest Pinkies?
What are your largest baby weights and their corresponding parentage? I've had baby walruses before, but I have some HUGE bubs right now who really shouldn't be so big by looking at their parents. They aren't quite 3 days old and two are 5 grams a piece. The other four are 4+ grams. I know Mrs. Beach keeps records like this, but I don't often do it unless I am watching for something. I just had to weigh these guys because they had me going all google-eyed when I checked them today. Their dam is from my own line I've been keeping for almost 2 years now, and their sire is the result of my same Splash line crossed with a Tri I got from Casey. They are both medium sized, but decently proportional mice. Poor mama, I keep checking on them to see if I can see them grow right before my eyes! O.O

I seem to have 1-2 gram babies in the first few days, so 4+ is a pretty big leap!
What tri colour did you get from me? Was it blue?

Heaviest newborn in my theorem study was 3g. That's newborn! Only two bubs in the litter. (Not my mouse.)

I got a Blue Tri, but he never bred. Little twerp! Haha. It was the extra Black Tri you had at the same time. I crossed him with a Splash, got one Tri out of the whole litter, who happens to be the sire of this litter. I am eagerly awaiting more pigment. Three are definitely marked..... but can't quite tell if they are Splash, Tri or what.

That line is known for popping out some big boys, maybe you got some of the giants in there.

Today they are 5, 6 and 7 grams each. Two grams in a day on most of them. Only one baby had gained a single gram. Haha, I'm having too much fun weighing babies.
