Pet Classes in New Club?
I would like to have a pet class at our shows for those that are working on a variety not often found with show type. I am willing to write a "standard" or organize anything for this.

Re: Pet Classes in New Club?
For now, we do not have pet classes. We intend to have them at our next show, however.
The UMC has a BIS award for Coat, Colour, marked, kitten, and over all.
So if you breed angora, and you have a wonderful coat on a not so typey mouse, it still has a shot at winning a BIS for it's coat.

Would this be judged on how well each individual mouse meets it's coat standard, and the one best meeting it would win? I imagine it might be hard to judge several coats next to each other. But GREAT!

The coat BIS award will be given to any mouse in the show, who has the most impressive coat. This would not be effected by the mouse's type at all, they would be judged solely on their coat quality. Standard coat is excluded from winning the award, but they are eligible to receive BIS marked, kitten, and over all.

Kitten refers to any mouse that is between 4 and 8 weeks old.
