I've had one more litter, a silver tan doe named Sterling with my black tan male Hendrixx. They are doing well, but a big surprise happened! I got a tri! Well, more of a broken splashed, really, in a dark color that I cannot distinguish, but I think it's blue or chocolate. She's an awesome baby, but I can't for the life of my figure out where she came from! I had previously thought Hendrixx to be a C/C, but he must be C/c.

The nibbled babies are doing really well. I have two broken black does, a BE himi, and a BE broken himi. The BE himi has a blind eye though, and of course, she has the best head I've ever had on a doe. tongue I had made up my mind not to breed her, but she is turning out fantastically. What would you do?

Himi? Colorpoint? I am not sure what you all want to call the BE pointed mice, lol.

Himi has pink eyes, siamese has ruby eyes, and cpb has black eyes, right? Though I guess some standards have "black-eyed siamese" which means cpb bred to be light enough for siamese? I have no idea.

Also, I can't judge breeding the mouse with the blind eye. I'm about to breed One-Eyed Jack.

Besides all the tri fun I've had, today we had a very special litter! Brilla had a litter with the import derived agouti male! I cannot wait to see the tan quality of these little ones!

Very pretty agouti tans, nice dark tails. I really like the one in the middle of the second pic.

Thank you Cindy! I have to say, they are making me a bit nervous. I am so worried that using a blue doe has diluted the belly color. I wish some other doe would have stepped up!

I can't really see belly color, but the top color on the middle one looks very promising. Is there umbrous in the line?

Honestly. I have no idea? I have heard others discussing Umbrous, so I imagine there may be. Tara has worked with the reds a bit more than I have at this point.

Do the agouti tans have any sable in their background? If so you could have umbrous in there! I have heard it helps with tan, cant recall why though...

I cant wait to see more pictures of those agouti tans! Happy

You'll know for sure once they're bigger. The ticking will be very light along the spine and very heavy on the belly. So you end up with a mouse with a dark area along the spine[mostly black] and a lighter belly[mostly tan]. I had a few who passed for Tan until I bred them and got self blacks.

They are pretty though.
