looking for some mouse items
Hi everyone!! I know fest is comming up and I thought I'd post to see if anyone had a few things I was looking for.
I am looking for a few saucer wheels and a few cute houses.
oh - also looking for the larger plastic breeder cages - the ones with the plastic divider.

Re: looking for some mouse items
Wouldn't mind a few of those plastic breeder cages with dividers, myself, if anyone knows where they're available.
Re: looking for some mouse items
I have a few of those cages I wouldn't mind parting with I think. Some are in rough shape though, I'll have to look and see if any of them -don't- have holes in them. They're no good for mice, they always chew out. Great for rat transport though!

lol...... I was looking at them for temp housing....... baby housing/transport. Mine always chewed through the plastic cages as well. I really like them for transport.
Re: looking for some mouse items
You can get them at Petco in the reptile section, OR on Petstore.com they are a little cheaper. I have some too, but they are in various states of hole-i-ness!

Petco has these cute little tvs that our mice LOVE sleeping in. I think they are like $5. We got 4 of them now because they all seem to like them so much!

I have tons of those cages...but I use them...lol All of my breeding mice live in the Lee's breeder cages with the dividers and I've NEVER had one chew out. **shrug**

We always look at them but never get them. It's good to hear someone say they are ok! Now maybe I will talk myself into getting one! LOL

I love them...lol I guess it depends on your mice though....mine don't ever try to chew out generally...but I know some might. **shrug** They are FANTASTIC for transportation to and from shows and whatnot b/c they are super versatile with the dividers!

Re: looking for some mouse items
DO you just get the one divider with it? Thats what it looked like when we were looking at them at Petco. We may just have to get a couple for the show now! LOL

Stina, your cages have two or more dividers. What model?

Re: looking for some mouse items
They only come with one divider, but with 3 slots. I just have a bunch of cages so when I only bring a few to shows I always bring extra dividers
The ones in that link aren't the right ones btw. Those aren't Lee's. Those and the Exo Terra Faunariums look similar, but dont' have the same slots. The right ones are Lee's Herp Haven Large Breeder Boxes.

Re: looking for some mouse items
Thanks guys! I will go online and order some. My local pet store charges way too much!
And littlesniffs- I will definately be there! How is Snowball doing? Better? and my reward is knowing that she is recovering.

Re: looking for some mouse items
My large plastic carriers are in pieces, lol.
I used some for moving, and I had to tape them all closed, because I don't think a single one of them latched properly!!
Half have huge holes in them from chewing, and last night my opossum popped his lid off and decided to run around the animal room, steal some paper towels, and make a nest under a shelf!

Yes, the hamsters love them! They last a lot longer for the hammies, so I saved the last one I got from you for them.

She's better but still not 100% at the same time. Thanks for asking :-)
But I still have something for you! LOL

Re: looking for some mouse items
Ok guys....... I was on the next the other night at work looking up the large Lees breeder cages and found two places that had them at really good prices and I wanted to share.
www.petmountain.com has them for $13 and change
www.petstore.com has them for $12.73 each
I bought 5 from petstore.com and my total including shipping was only $69 and change. I thought that was a pretty good deal. I usually like to shop at petmountain but in this case someplace was cheaper! My local petstore has them but for $22 and change each. Crazy! lol
oh - petmountain has small igloos for mice for $2 and change each and cheap water bottles. I bought a bunch last year.

I think Petco has them near us for around $13. I always look at them b ut never buy one. How do you hook up a water bottle to them? THe ones I have seen are not that tall.
