Anyone Keep Marine Tanks? Here is mine!

Post by candycorn on Fri Mar 16, 2012 3:18 pm

It's taken almost a year to get this far...but here is my marine nano (ish) tank. It's a 29 gallon.
I have two clowns, a yellow tang, and a weird shellfish (came one one rock) along with a Hammer Coral, Xenia, Red Mushrooms, and several species of polyps.
I have tried shrimp and hermits...but lose them all. I have 1 snail and 2 different limpets in there as well.
I am a bit run over with pesky aiptasia at the moment, and I had a HORRIBLE outbreak of bubble algae that is starting to run down.
Its funny how marine tanks go through phases.
I am really loving it right now. SOOOO pretty!

And so hard to photograph...those were my best efforts on my cheap point and shoot!

So show me your tanks!

Beautiful! I'd love to keep something like that but it seems expensive and time consuming. Embarassed

Thanks everyone! It's definitely not a cheap hobby! I would say there is easily over 600 dollars in that small tank. It's rewarding but can be very frustrating at times!

Great job! I had a nice saltwater tank but gave my fish up when I move back to Jersey. I had beautiful fresh and brackish tanks here until my so called friend poured bleach into them all. I could not prove it. I lost all my fish. I had my sharks for 8 Years. That was about 6 years ago and I can't bring myself to rebuild them Just yet. The pain is still there. Sad
