So, when I DO bring my boy home...
Should I just give him a day to settle in, or should I start handling him like I normally will? I already plan on putting my scent on his toys and in his bedding, so he'll feel a little more comfortable when I start handling him.
I'd just love any tips you can give me about bringing my little guy home. ^^;

I like to give mine a little bit of time to accustom themselves to the cage they will be living in after I bring them home. I don't wait a full 24 hours or anything, but I do usually give them the rest of the day and then the night that I bring them home to chill out, and in the case of bucks, start marking their territory! lol
I'm not sure if everyone does this, but I do try to be considerate to their stress. Not that I don't handle them at all, but it's not more than just for a few minutes. I have noticed it takes most mice a week or two to be 100% comfortable in their new home, even if they are coming from another breeder, but some have taken a month or two. I still handle them anyways after the first day though!
