Our Mousery
Hey Everyone!
Since I've been pregnant my fiance Jacob has been the one caring for the mice and cleaning etc, well I love the mice and breeding but he is really not thrilled about working plus having that on him, today after cleaning a bunch of their supplies and tanks he said he doesn't want to breed anymore. I've been talking him into it for awhile now lol but I can tell it's taking a toll on him now that I am not of much help. Of course it always comes up about money etc too! So for now we are retiring and we won't be breeding again for a few yrs if ever. We still will be making neat mouse enclosures and keeping female mice as pets, he is ok with that, luckily! We sorted our mice and have a nice variety available, too many to list them all, satins, texels, rex, all different colors if anyone is going to be in the area and wants to see them, they are all females. We are going to cull the males we have unless someone is able to come by within the next few days? We have to get ready for inspection where we live and won't have space to hide the males! We still plan on going to rodent fest and hope to find some female mice to adopt as pets.
Mouselover we have some chin females for you

Ah...... I did not even see this post!! That what happens when you go into a work overload and slip into a sleep coma for two days!!!!! I have been walking around like a zombie this past week. lol
Anyway...... I have already been in contact with you.
Robin - I am probably going to pick up a few mice from Regina on sat or sunday of fest. Maybe we can work something out. Details are still being worked out. lol

We so far have just constructed some for ourselves, some are pretty much complete others we just started, we turned large plant terrariums into mouse houses so they are decorative We probably won't be making them for others for awhile since I'm pregnant I can't be around the silicone and aren't up for the work, it will be later down the rd, I know when the baby comes that will def keep me busy! When I do start making them for the public I will make a announcement on here. They def will not be cheap though since they cost a lot to construct, of course I'll do my best to find the cheapest materials. They will be luxury mouse, hamster homes! I also might make some from wood to make them different styles but that depends on how well I am with the saw etc, I have been having Jacob do that work right now while I'm pregnant and didn't want to try and learn until after the baby. I'm sorry, it will probably be 2 yrs or more until they will be for everyone :/

Thank you. We favor a few males to keep as pets and Jay is ok with breeding them once a year, when we do what ever we do not keep I'll post on here!
Re: Our Mousery
Once a year is better then none. Keep your favorite lines going and eventually start back up in the future if you want. It will be easier then stopping completely and then trying to get back into breeding.

THIS! I've found this out the hard way! Still looking for mice to re-start my breeding program.
Re: Our Mousery
Yes, that's what I figured, a big part of it was our favorites were males too, they have the nice Long hair! Lunalady, I will doublecheck but I'm pretty sure I have a texel for you

Re: Our Mousery
I might have a male but we favor the long hair females and would keep them. The females normally never come out w the nice long hair, its always the males. We are going to sort our mice again before the show, sometime soon, we are still trying to downsize females we have, once we do I'll make a list and post it up.
