Awwww LOVE it. I've done this in the past (my guy died, unfortunately). There is nothing better than watching them grow
Re: Fostering/Hand raising Baby Squirrels
How sweet are they. Will they be able to be released once they are grown?

So cute!
One of my co workers is registered to handle and raise baby wild animals. She does frequently have baby squirrels.. they ate so cute@ I love watching them grow!
I tried to raise one myself but the poor thing was first almost killed by s lawn mower anf then a dog got him. He died the day after I got him, but o dif try. The owner of the dog was so upset

Re: Fostering/Hand raising Baby Squirrels
Cute! When I worked at a vet clinic people brought in baby rabbits all the time. I tried to rescue them a few different times, but regardless of age and what I did (I did as much research as I could online, etc), they always ended up dying. I stopped trying after a while because it was just too sad.
Re: Fostering/Hand raising Baby Squirrels
I volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitator for a year. Baby rabbits were always the hardest animals to rehab- all of them always ended up dying without their mother.
Raccoons were plain easy to raise though! They never gave up and bottle feeding a baby raccoon is just about the coolest thing you can do.

I LOVE handraising raccoons, they are so neat and easy.
When I get in a litter of rabbits, Im lucky if 1 or 2 make it. They are super hard to handraise.Squirrels are in the middle most of the time.
These guys are a bit smaller then what they should be for their age.
