active topics and dedicated URL?

I don't know how much control you guys have over this forum....but I find myself REALLY missing an active topics option...Also, I think a domain would be a good investment if you guys really want the fourm to be successful....I for one like to check forums and stuff when I am not at my own computer...and a simple, easy to remember domain makes it a LOT easier to get to them!

As for 'active topics' what specifically are you referring to?

The options at the top of main forum page where you can choose "new topics since last visit," "view your posts," and "view unanswered topics" .... "active topics" is a much more useful option, in my opinion anyway, as it shows all topics in order of the newest posts (without having to hunt through each individual forum for new posts). "new topics since last visit" only allows you to view topics that the forums thinks are new since when it percieves your last visit....its not very reliable and often leads to missed posts. "view your posts" only shows you things you've posted in...and "view unanswered topics" only shows you topics with no responses.

What the forum thinks your 'last visit' is, is the last time you logged on. So, if you log out and log back in the 'posts since last visit' are the posts that were updated since you logged out.

I will see what I can do to add a 'View new posts' option or 'View active topics' option.

I know what its "supposed" to view as your last visit...but I've been on enough forums to see it screw it up a LOT....lol I don't like "view new posts" either... "view active topics" seems to be the most reliable option for showing everything....as long as all of the forums are set to show in it.
