American Rumpwhites?
Since Casey and Elena have not posted in over a month I was wondering if they rumpwhites survived or have managed to breed. Has anyone heard from them?
Someone asked on another forum and no one had an answer...but since they are the owners of this site I thought they might respond, or will someone else if they know?
I realise that none will be for sale for years if ever...just curious if the variety has once again been lost in the US. I heard that the ones in the past had histories of eatting their babies legs! Yikes!
It would really be a shame to have the 3rd shipment brought to the US die off yet again. I am hoping that the 3rd time was the charm.

Re: American Rumpwhites?
Both owners of the imported rumpwhites have logged into this site since I posted this, but might not have seen this post. I am really hoping that is the reason for the lack of updates, not that the mice have died.

Re: American Rumpwhites?
I didn't see this but I still have my female. She had a cold but she's better with the use of meds.
I had her in with some reds but she has not bred. I asked Stina for advice and she suggested getting her in with a proven buck. She's been with a proven buck for almost a month and I thought she was pregnant but she hasn't gotten anymore "preggers" looking.
She has definitely gotten larger since the shipment so I'm thinking she was pretty young when I got her, but she's doing good and hopefully with re-produce for me. I love rumpwhite, they are my favorite, so I hope nothing happens to her or I'll be heartbroken.
As for having some available. I hope to give some out ASAP because I don't want to run the risk of something happening to the whole line in my care, I would feel awful.
My black tans had a very small litter 3 days ago. 3 babies, one runt. There are two left as of now and hopefully they do well.
I'll take some pics of my RW girl tonight to post up

That's wonderful, so glad to hear it! My red took a few weeks to catch for me but I gave her a lot of time to catch up after the shipment and subsequent travel. She isn't lactating well but is doing ok with two babies.

Oh, such a pretty girl! I'm so glad she's alright. She was one of Cait's.
