A wild new New Zealand meece servant appears

Post by Bannister on Mon Apr 30, 2012 8:29 am

Hullo, I'm from Auckland, New Zealand. Long time animal person but only just started with mice. Mrs. Beach sent me here, you can blame her when I start making dick jokes and talking about doberman mice.

I have two male mice (housed seperately). One, Beedle, is my first mouse ever, I've had him for all of two weeks now. He's a pretty cool dude with some pretty sweet markings, I thiiiiiink he's a broken marked black and tan. He loves paper, climbing, greens and the inside of my sleeves (any tips on training them to come out again?).

The other, Stewie, is a new arrival, and I'm crossing my fingers he will make it. I picked him up yesterday after seeing him advertised on an auction site and feeling sorry for him, and there's a whole saga going on right now with his general unhealthiness and penile prolapse. Currently I'm watching him like a hawk hoping the damn thing won't come back out, and being totally paranoid about whether he's sick or not (I'm sure I'll be posting aaaaaall about the whole thing soon enough). He's such a darling, I kind of adore him and I've only known him for a day. Beedle must never know. He loves climbing his cage bars like a monkey and burrowing in his bedding like a mole. Which he's doing so enthusiastically right now I think he's probably feeling okay. No pictures because he's a vampire and as such it is impossible to capture his likeness on film.

Anyway, yeah. What else. I've a dog and three pigs and some chooks & ducks back home with my mum. I work at a riding therapy centre.

I like trashy fantasy action movies, unicorns, doctor who, criminal minds, and I just burned the hell out of my mouth because I forgot to tell the indian food place I wanted it mild.

Hello from Wisconsin and welcome to the forum! Cute mice, there's another member here who just posted about their mouse's penis prolapse. I also like criminal minds, if you also like memes http://memebase.com/, then we should be besties. You keeping up with the new Avatar series???

Beedle would be considered a pied black tan, broken is a term for mice with a very specific spotted pattern. http://www.afrma.org/micemkd.htm#broknmrk It's like how every square is a rectangle, but every rectangle isn't a square kinda thing.

Welcome to the forum! So glad you joined! I love your mouse- so cute! I would also call him a broken. Many people use pied and broken interchangable.

Good, luck with your other baby! I hope he gets better and stays that way.

I too used to work at an equine theapy center. It is very rewarding. Happy.

And I too like criminal minds and unicorns! Happy

Bannister, tell everybody about the doberman mice! (It's OK here. They'll get it.)
