My New Reds and Black Tans
I want to thank the amazing UK breeders for providing such incredible mice! I also wish to thank Maggie for going above and beyond with doing all the legwork. It is because of you wonderful people that I have these incredible mice!
First my Reds (Ay). These guys are ON FIRE! I love them! I am going with a Harry Potter Theme for these guys. We I run out of Weasleys I will just use the other charaters! LOL!
Then for my Tan lines I am going with British Royalty.
I expect Victoria will give me gifts in a few days.
And last...my favorite blooper shot! Poor Molly could not stay on that glass for long!

Heehee, that last pic is adorable!
Your new babies are ADORABLE! I LOVE those black tans and the reds are, of course, to die for!
If you're ever in the "area" I wouldn't mind stealing a couple Red does from you in the future. If I had a girl I'd name her Katniss since they're, as you said, "on fire". Heehee.

Wow. That just about sums it up.
They are truly gorgeous. The intensity of the color is to die for, not just the deep rich red on the tans but how deep the black is on them as well.

Re: My New Reds and Black Tans
I guess I picked a good time to suspend/end all breeding in my mousery! My pitiful tans can't compare to the colors on these, and if you guys really do share their offspring around the US should have some really nice tan/red mice here shortly. My efforts aren't necessary anymore! lol
They really are very nice and I agree with m137b... the tan's fiery bellies are nice, but the black is what makes them really gorgeous. The reds are really cute as well. I hope someone uses them to create amazing fawns soon!

The tans and reds are fairly well distributed. We imported more than ten of each.

zia, I wouldn't stop breeding tans just because someone else has better at the moment. If you keep working at yours they may well contribute something these are lacking.

Re: My New Reds and Black Tans
Oh, I'm not stopping for that, I just am not going to be able to keep up with breeding for a while (possibly a few years) because of life craziness. My current breeding age mice are being transferred to a couple other breeders who will be working with the tans I've bred so far. I think they might even be in on the import! It does stink I can't keep on with mine, but I am excited for the new mice being in the US! It actually makes me feel more OK with my hard decision, I wasn't trying to be negative and I'm sorry if it came across that way!
Believe me, if my life was more stable, I would not be stopping my breeding.

Oh, I get it. It's always hard when life gets in the way of fun . I've know people who would give up on their own projects just because someone came along with something that was drastically superior in some respects, just wanted to put it out there that it's always worth the effort.

Purty, purty! Love the Chocolate Tan most of all!
I agree with Zia. Maybe I should reconsider keeping Tans too. LOL!
