How do you check a mouse's teeth?
I've got a little girl just three weeks old who is starting to lose weight. Since this is about the time babies start eating solid food, I wonder if she has dental malocclusion, but she is so small! How do I hold her to look inside her lips at her teeth?

I scruff them up tight and inspect them. You may not get the natural bite pattern though, but it's probably the best way I can think to do it!
Three weeks is also time that 'failure to thrive' starts in some mice. :/

Thank goodness the little one, after two days of losing weight, shot up by two grams while I was in Pennsylvania! I was really worried about failure to thrive.

Her name is Stry. She's the darker tiger brindle sister to my blue brindle, Tagarag. Her other sister, a lesser-striped tiger brindle, is Indie. She's smaller than the other two, now, but she didn't start out that way. Funny.
