February 24th, I had Honey put down.

For those of you who dont know, Honey was my 17 year old chi. Ive had her since she was 4 years old.
She had been having alot of health problems lately and she was only getting worse. Her pain meds were no longer working and she was crying out in pain often.

She was a fighter until the very end.
I feel like my heart is broken into a million pieces.
She was my baby. She had been with me through everything

Oh no poor Honey! Cry

At least she isn't in pain any more. I hope you feel better soon.

I was going through pictures last night (trying to see what surived the flooding) and I found a bunch of Honey and I balled my eyes out.
She had been through EVERYTHING with me, but I know she is no longer in pain.

Thanks

I'm going to have to have our family dog put down soon. He's only 10 years old, but he has fatty tumors that are pressing on his nerves and messing up his hind legs. I can't remember the name of the problem, but it can't be fixed. They can be removed, but they grow back. What kills me is, otherwise he's healthy, if he could be happy without his legs, then he'd be fine for years to come. . .

In a way, I'm glad I'm moving away before he needs to be put down. It's going to kill me to see him put down when he's -still- a healthy dog. . . Sad
