New Types of Bedding

Post by kawmice on Sat Jun 02, 2012 8:34 am

Ok.... So I was in the petstore and found a few things I thought I may want to try. I was actually looking for bark for my reptiles!!

I found forest floor - off topic, but wouldthis be good for my corns? and how about my Spiny mice?

I also saw coconut fiber bedding specifically packaged for hamsters and such. Any fans of this?

Then there was the soil bedding.

Are any of these good to use?

Stina is a big fan of the coconut fiber bedding. She recommends it highly. I bought some but never tried it. Comes compacted in a block and requires soaking in water, then spreading and drying. Had a small friend who needed bedding and gave it to her because it was easy for her to carry.

Ah yes- I know the bedding you are refering to! Used it at petco for the reptiles. The bag I saw was already pre dried. But the block would be cheaper, just more work. Cool- thanks! I just feel my spiny babies need more. Lol.
