Litter Progression *Update: 6/30/12*
I'll start from the earliest pictures I have of these babies. I got about three or four of the litters after they were born (with the large group) and two more were born here. I'll make one post per litter in this thread to make it easier to follow.
Litter 1:
These guys were paired by Shari before I got them, so the first three baby pictures are hers.
Chocolate Self Doe - her eyes are enormous, but mostly when she's a little stressed..otherwise they're large but normal.
x
Silver Tan Buck
This resulted in all black babies that look like black foxes but could just be poorly colored tans waiting to color up.
5/20/12
5/21/12
5/22/12
5/31/12
6/2/12
6/4/12 - These guys are complete pains in the arse! Impossible to photograph outside of a container.
Don't even ask what container I'm having to use. (Hint: porcelain crock pot. )
I do like mommy mouse.
6/10/12 - I moved the chil'ren to a growout bin with mom. I'll be removing her June 16 (the day after my birthday ).
6/30/12 - 6 weeks old and HUGE. I love this group, they're probably the largest bodied mice I have so far. This is just one girl with a full-black tail. They're not agouti, but don't really look black..more like dark chocolate.

I love black tans!!! Been breeding them for years!,
Most likely they are just tans that will color up since dad was tan. tan is a dom gene.

Hehe, glad you like! I love that they all look like little clones.

Round 2!
Born 5/25/12, parents are..
Overmarked Pied Brindle Doe - she's had two litters with me and is now retired!
x
Satin Brindle Pied (or perhaps tricolor?)
5/31/12 (her and a nanny took in PEW babies, all the dark eyes belong to this pair)
6/2/12
6/4/12 - A couple poop spots, and not pictured are the adopted PEW babies.
(The only non-Satin of the four.)
I just love satin babies!
6/10/12 - At this stage, I just call them 'giant heads'. Reason 1:
Little non-satin banded bub.
"I'm just going to be really freaking cute and clean maself."

Thanks all. I'm going to post up another set. I think I'm just going to do the most interesting for me since I'm going to be swimming in babies soon.

Satin brindle pied is indeed that, and not tricolor, btw. They look just lovely, too.

Lol I was the one who told her that she may be brindle tri, so my mistake! Lol.
Beautiful babies!

Thanks, and it's no trouble. I'm in love with the reduced brindling on one of the babies.

Just one more picture of a "black tan" girl at 6 weeks. They actually don't look black, at least compared to who they'll be paired with:
He's my studmuffin, sweet as a teddy bear and a great father.
