Dreamweaver is */e. Golden Monkey is A^Y/ a */e. Their daughter, Abracadabra is a red x-brindle. She is either A^y/* or e/e or both. How do I write "maybe A^y or A/maybe A or a" without looking like */*, which is uninterpetable in a genotype? How do I write "maybe E or e/maybe E or e" without looking like */*, which is uninterpretable (doesn't say which locus) and also could easily be confused with */* for the A locus?
