Import Tans F2s
My first generation of import crosses have been bred together in order to bring out a full mix of top coats, and they've all furred up! We've got black, dove, chocolate, champagne, and silver. This is four different litters all mixed together at this point, as one of the mums started snacking and had to have her litter fostered out to the double litter, so I went ahead and chucked all the good mums and all the litters together. The mums all have the same father, making them half-siblings. The pups all have the same father, as well. I'm hoping at this point to be able to establish separate lines at this point, with a small stud of each top coat. For now, though, it's a lovely little mixed-up litter. Included in these photos are some of an American-type litter of blue tans, since I haven't been able to establish blue in the import crosses quite yet. Those are the older, weaned ones.
This set are some champagne tans, a silver tan, and a chocolate tan:
There are also some doves and blacks in the mix. This set of photos has the American-types in it, too, particularly some satin and non-satin blue tans. They're the weaned-age ones. There's also a pet-type longhair splashed Siamese pup (the one that looks like a gerbil):
The tan on these crosses, even this pink-eyed tan, is still really lovely. It doesn't seem to have been damaged much at all in the outcross:
A good few of these, particularly some blacks and doves, are coming with me to the January meetup. I'll put up individual photos of the ones available once they're weaning and as we get closer to the meetup.

I can't see them, either, tiny, however if you cut and paste what's in quotation marks, like https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-90T6pHaQvhE/UMh-O4qQBrI/AAAAAAAABSg/v5DTDFr2gXE/s403/Cham%2C+choc%2C+silver4.JPG, into another browser, you can see them. Make sure what you cut starts with "https" and ends with ".JPG".
WHAT JANUARY MEETUP? WHERE? I've been sick and must've missed it.

Re: Import Tans F2s
Yay for the fixing of them! They looked fine on my end originally. :/
I'll have a black tan trio available, it looks like, though they're carrying p and b and d, as there's a buck in the quadruple litter.
I'll also have some dove tan does, the splashy silver-dove does, the champagne self, and possibly one of the three champagne tan does from the quadruple litter.
Plus, the American-type litter was just an attempt to make some blue does to breed into the imports, so I only need two of those, so, yeah. Lots of babies coming with me to the meetup. Now that I've got tons of space, whatever doesn't find a home can probably stick around until Rodentfest, or find a use here.

Re: Import Tans F2s
I would love a champ self and tan doe and a dove tan doe. April is probably too far away, but if you have a litter closer or you don't mind holding them that is.

There should definitely be more! As soon as the cham and chocolate girls who are staying are old enough, they go in with their grandpappy.

I think the silver tan is quite stunning, just silvers all together are very lovely. I am jealous of your collection
Re: Import Tans F2s
They do get some throat spots, which are much less visible in the pink-eyed varieties than in the black-eyed varieties.

Re: Import Tans F2s
I've only got one each of the chocolates and silvers, so I'm hoping to build up those studs a bit more between now and RF. Definitely, though, there'll be blacks and doves all over the place, since every developing stud is going to be pumping those out until they can breed true.
