Looking for Meecers
Now that there is some sanity in my house again, I'm looking for a few mice.
Tri color mice like the ones that are in my photo.
Hairless hets/hairless. (bew hairless hets)
And Chocolate/black tans (nice ones like that were from the UK).
Looking really only for a few mice. Maybe 1-2 pairs of each.

Re: Looking for Meecers
I plan to have Hairless and carriers at RF. For the hairless I'm aiming for Extreme Black and the carriers will most likely be mostly Blue, Black, Silver, and/or Siamese/Himi. The carrier bucks I have don't have the size/type I'd like, so I'm breeding the Blue(from Extreme Black buck and PEW TH doe) to my 3 biggest, best does, which happen to be PEW, and I'm breeding my Extreme Black buck(brother to the Blue buck) to my TH carrier does(Extreme Black and Siamese).
I might also have some Brindle/TH Carriers available. I'm hoping the extra layer of 'insulation" might help the TH and improve milk production in the does. Besides, they're just so darn cute! Lol.

Re: Looking for Meecers
Are you wanting the does to be TH or carriers?
My current plan is keep bucks from the carrier breedings and then keep does from the carrier/typey PEW breedings. The babies from the PEW does will have a 50/50 chance of carrying the gene, but should hopefully have much better type and size then the TH since the TH are so darn dinky.

Re: Looking for Meecers
I'm really looking for TH bucks and 100% het for TH does since luck with breeding TH does for me has been non existent and I don't have enough mice to foster off babies if she can't nurse.
If you have Extreme black possible hets I would take some of those too since I'm also wanting Extreme blacks so that'd be nice too.

Re: Looking for Meecers
If I can, I'll try and hold onto some Extreme Black does from the Carrier X Carrier pairings for you. They'll have dinky type(typical of anything TH-related, lol), but at least they'll have a higher chance of carrying TH. I think it'd be worth getting a couple of the 50% Hets though since they'll have nicer type and it's so darn hard to improve type in TH.
I should have some Extreme Blacks(they'll most likely carry Himi/Siamese) by RF too, if you're needing some.
BTW, I've had pretty good success breeding my TH does. I breed them in a group with some furred does and a buck and separate out the does in pairs(one TH and one furred doe) as they start showing. I slowly cull the furred doe's litter until there are only TH carriers left and she does the nursing while the TH doe does the babysitting and helps nurse as much as she can.
The only way I had success with breeding TH bucks was when I put 5 of the little suckers in with some larger does and one of em was finally able to get the job done, lol. They're just so darn small!
