Hey there~

I realize I'm a way across the pond compared to the majority of people here, but TMC was thoroughly recommended to me by Anktian, as a place for advice, discussion and information. Happy

I'm Kitei, otherwise known as Rose. I'm 20, live in the UK and, though currently unemployed, am doing by-commission digital art. I co-run a fancy mouse-based game in development with Casey/Anktian, and do all the artwork for it. I personally have a labrador bitch, a calico mixed breed cat, a bunch of quail, some hens, a celestial parrotlet and currently 4 pet mice.

My current mice are all pets - they're littermates and are pretty bad in terms of type, and especially size, and aren't really very tame, aside from my favorite doe. Lucy is the dove tan, and she's wonderful and sweet, then I have 2 blue girls and an agouti, who is slightly easier to handle than the blues.

I'll be picking up my first breeding stock on Monday. I'm due to collect: Trio of long haired blue agouto, trio of long haired blacks, trio of standard black tans, as well as possibly 2 siamese does (they need to check what they have) and a long haired silver doe, if they have one spare, too. All except the siamese are from exhibition lines; the breeder definitely shows the black tans with some degree of success, I'm not sure which of the long haired he shows and which he is developing, but he does show in more than one variety. The siamese aren't exhibition stock, instead they're a mix of show and pet, so they aren't too far off. I'm getting those for two reasons; because I love siamese, and because I'd like to maybe develop long haired blue siamese as a little pet line on the side.

I'm very much interested in colour genetics, and I've been studying mouse genetics for a couple of weeks now anyway, because Anktian and I need it for MM.

Umm, I can't really remember what else I was going to say. It's pretty late for me, I've got to get up early and I've been awake far too long today, so I think I will leave it at that. I will throw pictures of my new mice up when I get them!
