Shipping overseas Empty Shipping overseas

I'm am looking for people that have experience with shipping mice from the US to a European country?

I am considering to do this if I can find the right breeders! I am seriously bummed that there are no merle mice over here Cry
I have even avoided logging on to fora for some time, because I was so freaking jealous that Americans have merle mice, even in pet shops! And we can only gush over all the cute pictures, sitting behind our computers, feeling sorry for ourselves.... It has to change!
Of course I realize it might be a lot of work, but I'm ready to do it and put all my effort in it! And that it might take some time, but I'm willing to wait years if necessary! And I realize that it may cost a lot of money, I have a budget of no more than 500 euro (about 650 dollar) and I know a few people that might be willing to do this with me and help pay for costs.
Now I know that there are already merle owners in Germany, but I can't get them to sell me some! And I have heard that there is a health risk to by from those breeders (mice just drop dead).

Are there reputable breeders with merle mice from healthy lines who would consider shipping to Belgium/the Netherlands?
Can I make it on my budget?
Is there much risk involved of me never getting my mice and being scammed? Or of the mice dying during shipping?

I am not exclusively interested in merles however, RY is also on the wishing list and if there are other people from over here that want to join my project, they might want others to, I don't know yet.

Who can help me? I will be ever so grateful!

There are merle mice in Germany, as well as e/e (recessive yellow)....Roland imported them and his stock is healthy. http://drofi.repage7.de/

Yes I know, as I wrote, but I can't get him to sell me some of his mice LOL
I keep emailing but he keeps turning me down in an indirect sort of way tongue
Of course he is working very hard to breed quality mice and I can understand he doesn't like to sell his mice to a total stranger...

Ah, ok...I wasn't sure if you had found him specifically.

I don't know anything about shipping from the US to Europe...I believe shipping from the UK to the US cost ~$1500 all told. The only person I know of that's shipped to Europe is Christine of KAW Mousery (she is where Roland got his merles and stuff)
