Happy Holidays!!! Empty Happy Holidays!!!

Post by Admin Mon Dec 17, 2012 5:36 pm

Happy Holidays everyone!

It's been awhile since I've been around and a lot has gone on.

There will be some changes going on here and with the United Mouse Club website.

I have decided to fully take over both websites from this point forward.
I am the sole owner of all the domains, hosting, etc (and have always been the person paying for these).

I have not heard from Casey, our co-founder, in months now. I believe she has dropped out of the mouse world. I feel that because of this, and after past events this will be for the better.

I hope this change in management is for the best of the forum. Casey did bring a bit of pizzazz with the graphics and design of the forum so I hope you can accept a "less flashy" forum from me Happy

In time, I will be looking for some of you who want to help moderate, promote, and just all around help out here to promote what we stand for on The Mouse Connection, a safe place where we can chat, agree, disagree kindly, and learn about a plethora of mouse and rat related topics.

I would like this forum to return to it's (what I thought was) former glory.

If there are any questions, please feel free to ask me!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!

I'm new, but if you need any help with layout, graphics, banners, or anything like that, I'd be willing to help as best I can. Hope things run more smoothly for you now.

Yay! I'm SO happy you're in charge now Elena!

What's going on with RF? Who will be organizing it? Do they need any help?

Thanks guys! I'll let you know about the graphics Happy

As far as RF, I don't know. You'd have to talk to Lee. I don't have a show planned for that day. I haven't even spoken to them.

Casey was the judge last time we had a show and quite frankly, I have no idea how to judge. She also took the ribbons with her when she moved, so I don't have any of the leftover ribbons from the last show.

The show was sooo rushed last time. I don't know how we could prevent that this time. Any suggestions I'm all ears! ;-)

I think running the show like a dog show- have it going on in the background- is the best way to do it. I was never going to sit through the whole thing but I could see taking a break and coming back to watch it during the day to be worth it.

As far as judging goes, I questioned Casey's ability to judge in the first place- but that's just my humble opinion.

Agreed. I assumed it would be drop off the animals. Judges go through them at their leisure and judge them. Fill out the paper, and hand out awards at the end.
Less like a show that gets watched, more like just drop the animals to be judged and pick them up at the end and ask questions as needed.

I was watching some videos and that's the take I got from it *shrug*
