Who carries what? C-dilutes
I'm having trouble identifying some c-dilute colors in my litters and I would like to know what allele the parents carry.
I bred my black astrex buck to two doe's, one blue and one black. In the blue doe's litter there were black eyed white babies, lots of blue and one black. So I'm guessing the BEW is c^e/c or even c^ch/c with blue? This is one of the BEWs;
In the black doe's litter, there were blacks, 1 chocolate and 2 chocolate colored c-dilutes. They were lighter than the chocolate when they were in the litter but they grew to be indistinguishable from the chocolate.
This is a picture of the adult color;
And this is when they were still in the litter;
C-dilute on the left and chocolate on the right.
The black doe also had a litter with a dove (aa pp) astrex buck and threw all blacks with one beige colored baby;
What did these 4 parents carry? And what is the right color of the offspring?

I won't be much help, but I'm truly envious of the BEW, haha. I've bred a ce/c buck three times and still have not seen it.
Regarding the last photo of the offspring...they're satin right? I know this will sound confusing but it's possible the beige/stone baby is ce/c. Satin darkens things right up apparently and my ce/c babies look beige from certain angles. I'd have assumed they were ce/ce without doing a test litter with c/c.

Your BEW baby would be c^e/c because c^h/c would have pink eyes. It is probably D/d from the looks of it.
Your astrex baby is mock chocolate, which is a/a B/* c^ch/c^e.
The little beige colored baby looks c^e/c^e.

I was thinking this to, but when I went to figure out what parent carries what, then the black doe should carry 2 different c-dilutes and that's not possible....
I was thinking that the beige is c^ch/c; then the blue doe carries c, the black buck carries c^e, the black doe carries c^ch and the black pink eyed buck (dove/lilac) carries c ??

That could be yes! But then the beige babies should still be c^ch/c right?
Re: Who carries what? C-dilutes
I also happened to have a buck and doe in the exact same shade as the beige baby (I get this color frequently in the litters) and had decided to breed them together to know once and for all for sure what they are.
If they are c^e/c^e they can only have beige babies and if they are c^ch/c they should have albino, sepia and beige babies. (and if they are both they should have BEW and coffee babies, but since they are exactly the same shade, I guess that won't be the case)
The litter is now 3 days old, so I can't say anything for sure right now, but there are pink eyed and black eyed babies and there seem to be dark and light colored black eyed, so I'm guessing that these parents are c^ch/c

Pretty great finally getting answers right? Mine ended up being ce/c (slightly lighter) which I found out by crossing him with a c/c PEW.
This is what I followed:
Beige = breeds true
One beige, one bone = 75% beige, 25% bone
Bone = 50% Bone, 25% beige, 25% PEW
One beige, one PEW = bone
One bone, one PEW = 25% bone, 75% PEW
Edit: In my litter, there were nine babies, only two of which were dark eyed. ch/c did not seem like a possibility given I've never seen pointed mice here.

Re: Who carries what? C-dilutes
So the little guys are really growing and the colours have come through. So far I can tell there are 2 PEW males, a stone female, a blue female (a/a c^ch/c^ch d/d), a silver female (a/a c^ch/c d/d) and a sepia male. I don't know for sure if he is sepia, because I don't think he's really black, he looks very brownish to me...
Here are some pics;
Stone and silver females
Blue female
The 3 boys, 2 PEW's underneath and the one I think is sepia on top.
I know sepia doesn't always look perfectly black, but is this a normal colour for a sepia??
