GypsyTails, Tinyhart, and KAW, come pick out your mice! (Pic Heavy!)

Alright guys, this is everyone who is going to be available. I’ve tried to keep straight who was interested in who, but I may have made mistakes! Either let me know here or in a PM who you want, and I’ll make sure they get held! You can also change who you want too, just please keep it reasonable for Melissa’s sake!

To anyone else interested, I’m sorry mice are only available to the breeders I’ve talked to already. Melissa is transporting for me, and she’s already very graciously agreed to bring several cages up. I don’t want to trespass on her generosity any more than I have already!

I guess doing this by color will be the easiest, so ages and stuff will be kind of out of order. If you need any more information or more pics just let me know. Most of the bubs are between 6 and 8 weeks in these pictures. With the tans, bellies will continue to darken as they get older, but most of them have already gone through the most dramatic change and the difference won’t be *too* great. Names are being included to help keep everyone straight. Some of the does are barberers, so some babies have nekked whiskers.

Sorry for the funky lighting in the pics. I took these across a couple days trying to use natural light to my advantage but it didn't work out so well.

Melissa, you said you might be interested in a typey tan buck. I don’t have anything specifically on hold for you, but I’ll put a note where there is one you might be interested in.

Tinyhart and KAW were both interested in Agouti Tan does. Bellies are a little disappointing.

These are all the black tan bucks I had born, and you guys can have first pick. I’m also putting up one of the adult bucks I have here. I will absolutely keep him if neither of you want him, but I’m just trying to help out. Melissa, if you don’t want me to offer him and take him down, let me know.

Ok, these are the two pet type litters.
The first litter is all carrying merle, and KAW was interested in the chocolate tan satin doe, chocolate brindle satin doe, and an overmarked chocolate brindle doe. When I look at the overmarked, they could possibly be cinnamon, I guess, I’m not quite sure actually. They do have lovely color though, Beth’s idea of using a nice orange Avy to darken the red hues really works!

For the Cinn Tan bucks, I need to go home and look at my Cracker Jack again to remind me what I'm lacking... lol

Out of the Chocolate self does, I really like Daring Do from that angle. If no one speaks up for Bon Bon, I wouldn't mind an extra Chocolate. I am about to dicontinue my little side projects and stick to my main varieties ONLY. Which includes Chocolate/Cinn Tan genetic contributions. (Meaning I'm going to have more mice available for the trip. Haha.)

Out of the Fuzzy girls, I'd be interested in whoever has either the tightest coat or the lowest ear set. It's hard to tell and I could use either attribute! Lol. (Yes, I'm keeping my Fuzzies!)

I like Zecora the best out of the Choc Tan does, but Junebug is pretty too, so either is fine if Christine wants Zecora. My two Choc Tan does still haven't caught yet, so I am just being proactive!

Are Snails and Crash does or bucks? What were their parents?

From the Choc Tan bucks I need to go home and look at my Count Chokula and see what I'm lacking... again... I forget... lol

Lord, Gordon has some big man-bits! I like Chancelor Puddinghead best of the youngsters. Let me deliberate over the Black Tan boys. I am still recovering after losing Guiness.

No worries about needing to look again, there is no rush.

Both of the chocolate girls are available at the moment, and you're welcome to both of them. They have really similar type really, the biggest difference is color depth.

Out of the fuzzy girls, the second one I have posted has the tighter, shorter coat. I'll have to check the ears again when I get home though.

Snails and Crash are bucks. They are out of one of my black does (ZIA Riddle) and Gordon. I'm not sure what dilute Gordon is carrying, but Riddle's dad was ivory, so she's either C/c or C/c^e. I guess Gordon isn't C/c or C/c^e because then I would have had albino or ivory pop up. My next best guess for him was C/c^h or I guess C/c^ch is possible? I'm not too good at the "mud" colors that C-Dilutes cause.

And don't worry about the black tan boys if you don't like any of these! Hopefully there will be plenty more where these came from... and better ones.

Hmmmmm, I would be more inclined to say c^ch from the looks of the dilute boys and from the minimal backgrounds I got on the 2 mice that started and contributed heavily to the Tans I have today. c^ch has little or no effect on brown pigment, right? I could be absolutely wrong though. I did have c pop up very early on BUT I haven't seen it since. I did not have any c^h until very recently. In some of the other mice from MIKI that I started with, there is mention of colorpoint HOWEVER I don't know if it was just a phenotype Mike was labeling as colorpoint (c^h) when the Splash or Tri mouse just had "points" due to c^ch OR if there was really c^h in the pedigree. From the descendants of the said colorpoints mentione, I do now have c^ch for a fact. My c^ch Splashes descended from WNT and MIKI also have these "points" when there is absolutely no possibility of c^h. At this point, when I see Splash on a pedigree, I sometimes cringe..... lol

I would love to have both Chocolate girls and I will take a peek at Cracker Jack and Count Chokula a little later. My eyes are so tired from staring at the computer all day, that I couldn't make an intelligent decision if I tried. Heck, I don't even know if what I just typed makes any sense to a non-crazy person. I'll think about one of the dilute boys since I do have c^ch and their type would be beneficial to that endeavor. Let me sleep and reevaluate my opinions! Bahahaha... I need some edible chocolate now

I'm about 99% sure that those c-dilutes are c^ch/*....I've never seen any of the other c-dilutes produce such dark colors. Beyond that, they are not chocolate based. c^ch removes nearly all pheomelanins (yellow pigment...and anything chocolate/brown based is heavy on pheomelanins...) so it would have a massive effect on anything chocolate based.

I like Puddinhead, but Gordon really has the next shade of darker tan that I'd like.

You can definately give peppermint twist to tiny. I figured if no one wanted her I would take her. I can use the two merles to get roan. Lol

After much deliberation, I think I really would like Crash. I still need to inspect my two Tan boys at home though, and decide on the Black Tans as well. I was down in the dumps last night and didn't get to do it. I was hoping I'd get to go home early today, but it doesn't look like it. Boooooooo!

Zia, from the photos it looks like Hoity Toity has the thickest tail set of the Cinnamon Tan bucks. Is that correct? Braeburn's testicles are in the way!

I believe so! That litter had pretty consistently decent tails. The other litters vary somewhat. I can check when I get home if I need to though!

If it is the case, I think I would prefer Hoity Toity. My Cinnamon Tan didn't get the decent tail like his brother the Chocolate Tan. He hasn't bred for me either. The little twerp.

Him and Crash, the dilute. I have my eye on Hydra though. How old is he?

He is 9 weeks old today. His litter was bred with a self for type, so they probably won't have the best belly color. He is actually Crash's full brother. They were a cross from Hankey's son to a black that has all of my old favorites in her lines. Castor is his great grandpa, two mice from Mr. Creepy's litter are in there as well (parents are a WNT buck and my girl Vera that I got from you), and the black rex doe I got from you is also a great grandparent. He does have a pretty decent tail, head, and ears, and is a big guy! He's just lacking on the color side.

Yes, I like Puddinghead for his color, but I like Hydra much better over all. He reminds me of Guinness with better ears but lighter belly. Big eyes too. I'd really have to see him in person, I guess. Hmmmmm.....

Tell you what! I'm planning on keeping at least one of the black tan bucks for myself. I'll keep Puddinghead, Hydra, Spike, and Fancy Pants on for a while longer and then bring Puddinghead and Hydra up with me when we meet and you can decide then. A couple extra bucks won't kill me and then I have a back-up for whoever you choose.
