Hello Mouse People!
Hey everyone, I'm Kylie.
I live in southern Gerogia, though I'm hoping to move soon. To where is the big question!
I own Zia Mousery, and my focus/ultimate goal is on black tans. I have some pretty decent tans at the moment that I'm working with (big thanks to GYPT for them!), and hopefully within a few generations can have them even better. I have some litters "in the oven" right now. I'll be sure to share pictures when they're born! Right now they are going to be a mix of agouti, cinnamon, chocolate, and black, but I'm hoping in time to have almost all black.
I used to work with a bunch of other varieties, but was having issues with how well I felt the offspring were turning out. I decided that since my main love is black tans, and they're really what I want to devote my time and energy to, that they were going to be my main variety. I do keep a few black pieds on hand too. A black pied was my first mouse as a child, and my mousery just doesn't feel right without them in it. One day I would love to be able to also work with black broken, but it will be years before that comes true!
I also have a couple merles at the moment. I'm playing with their genetics, but that program will probably be over once my tan numbers are a bit higher. I just have them around for a spot of cute and color since they're pet type.
Thats about it for now from the mousing side of things! I'm hoping to see good things from this forum!

Re: Hello Mouse People!
I know I fell off the face of the earth there for a couple months. Stuff went kind of crazy in the non-mouse world and I just didn't have the time to devote to breeding. But I'm back! And hopefully more successfully since I've narrowed my focus lol.
Believe me, you will be drowned in images of my tans! I totally adore them.

Good to see you Kylie! I think a sign of a true breeder is knowing when to focus! Good for you!
My first mice were black pied too, doncha love them!
If you move to Kansas we can create a tan empire, lol.
