Who makes the 7155 lab blocks? Never heard of it before (which doesn't mean anything).

I'm not sure who manufactures it. I'm fairly certain it's just re-packaged by the wholesaler I get the food from, but I'm unsure who actually makes it.

I'll have to find out about that.

Interesting about the 7155. I wonder why Harlan Teklad made that different kind which has the same protein and fat content as 4018. I see the ingredients differ somewhat, but I don't have the brains tonight to make a good comparison.

The 4018 is a global diet they can shipworldwide since its vegetarian and contains no seeds that could germinate elsewhere in the world...this is always why it has a very specific ingredient list. The 7155 would not be easily shippable worldwide b/c of the animal product content...an b/c it isn't intended to that shipability they don't need to be quite as specific with the ingredients (i.e. grain products, etc)

Interesting! Is that why it's cheaper per bag (although mouselover01 doesn't say if 7155 also comes in 40-lb. bags)? Is there an important nutritional difference to mice?

I imagine that's why its less expensive....probably costs less to make. I personally wouldn't use it....I don't like the vagueness of the ingredients.

I'm pretty sure that both are about the same price.

Not in the price list mouselover01 had. 4018 was $29/bag and 7155 was $25/bag.
