short staffed and ot.....grrrr....

Well- here I am on my day off riding the bus to work. been up since 8 this morning after a restless night and have to work till 8am. I will get home ay about 11-12 tomarrow. You see- I was called into work because ICU is packed. I don't mind the OT but I REALLY do not want to work with the LVT in ICU tonight. At least I am in charge at night so it is my way. Lol

Now- as it is we only have 2 LVTs working every night for the whole hospital. Btw- LVT is licenessed vet tech ( which is me ). It can be hard when we are busy.

The problem- my other LVT. She is about the slowest, most nonchalant person ever. I had a cat crash and I was pratically yelling commands to her and trying to get her to hustle. I was pissed and so frustrated. *sigh* and she has lots of experience! I have been licenessed since 2004 and she has years on me. Yet I know so much more Then her. Please someone come and save me from The hell I am about to enter.

Thanks! It wad not nearly as busy but I dud walk into nightmare city. I got through it though. Today I stayed almost four hours late. So many call outs today. Grrrrr. My poor dogs! I won't get home till at least 2 ish! I just left work. but I also Got greatly complimented by one of the doctors!!!! So I feel pretty good today.

I owe my dogs a new toy........ My poor babies.
