Merle Babies *More Pix 04/15*

Well, they're not all that interesting yet but they are little sausages! These were taken yesterday. I hope to get updated photos tonight or tomorrow too. There are 10 total babies that I've split and fostered some of them onto another doe. It may be a while before you can see any "merling" or "roaning", but you can see the bellies are light in some photos.

They're at my favorite baby age! So cute and smushy.

I want to go home and hold some of my squishes now too. I love fat mouse babies.

Yes, Tiny! These are some of the potential Merle babies. There are ten total, five Blue and five Black. I got some new pix yesterday but haven't been able to post today. We drove up to Athens to see a friend. I should get them up later today. I passed out on the couch last night around nine. It was a long week!

Ok, they're still kinda boring, but some of the Black bubs are already "roaning"! Ive got 10 bubs total, between mama and a foster mama. 5 Blues, 3 does and 2 bucks, and 5 Blacks, 2 does and 3 bucks.

I'd actually like to get a buck and two does of the black merle ones. I love the blue but I'm wanting to concentrate on black merle right now. If you don't have other plans for them I can use them for breeding into the merle I have...my merles are all rex and I'd like to breed it out.

I'll only keep a buck if one happens to be better than the 2 studs I have, so no worries there. I have a Blue Merle buck and a Black Merle buck, so I'd only want better type in either. I planned to keep one, maybe two does, BUT I have another litter that was born last week who won't be old enough to make the trip that I have all to myself. When I see what they are, I'll have a better idea of which doe from this litter I want, if any. Elena and Tiny are on the Merle list too, but there's 10 to chose from and 3 Black Merle bucks to boot. For once, I have a plethora of something.
